A CHRISTMAS PRAYER
To all my brothers and sisters, when you bundle yourselves and go outside to do what must be done I pray you have a hot bowl of soup waiting for you when you take off your coat.
I pray your son will look into your eyes on Christmas morning and his smile will say "thank you Dad, I'll take care of this knife and I'll be careful with it".
I pray your daughter will smile into her mother's face and it will say "thank you, it's beautiful".
Your parents, wherever they are will smile upon your family and you will know it.
You feel the blessing of Christmas and you spread it to strangers you know you will never meet again.
You pull over in a snowstorm with your flashers on, to protect someone fixing a flat just as they pound the hubcap on. They wave and say "Thanks, that means a lot"...it was an angel and you didn't know it.
This is my Christmas prayer to you all.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
Once a year something special happens, you're a little nicer, a bit more considerate. You give something to a stranger and you know your only reward is the warm feeling in your heart.
It really is a miracle from God.
